Lets Go to the Long Mynd! NOVEMBER 12TH!!

Long Mynd, by Paul Kestenbaum

Located near Church Stretton, Shropshire Hills. We are looking to put together a field trip to The Long Mynd and the area known as The Carding Mill Valley in Shropshire, England. It is a part of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is 10 miles (16 km) south of the county town Shrewsbury, and has an area of over 22 square kilometres (8.5 sq mi), most of which takes the form of a heathland plateau. Most of the land on the Long Mynd land is owned by the National Trust.

The purpose of the trip is to experiment with different medium and large format cameras, explore the genre of "landscape", and to have experience working on location. We will do a series of shooting exercises and have technical demonstrations. More on the field trip and possible dates in the next lesson. But do research into the area to get prepared.
